MY WAY
WHAT YOU NEED:
A good brioche bun
Garlic
Mayonnaise
Parsley
Lemon juice
S + P
Onion
Bacon
Worsteshire
Balsamic
Arugula
Mild White Cheese
Ground Beef
Mushrooms
Brown Sugar
How to make it:
Cut up bacon into small pieces and throw into a pan to cook up.
While it cooks, make your aioli with 2-3 cloves of mined garlic, a few scoops of mayonnaise, a squeeze of lemon, some chopped parsley or chives and s+p. Also prep your arugula by massaging with olive oil and s+p.
Slice up your onions and mince about 2-3 more cloves of garlic.
When your bacon is done cooking, remove it from the pan and leave about four tablespoons of bacon grease in the pan. Add in your garlic and onions and saute till browned. One browned, add bacon back in. Add in 1/3 cup of brown sugar. Let cook for a second then add a tablespoon of worcestershire sauce and three tablespoons of balsamic. Let cook down for a minute til perfect consistency.
Saute some mushrooms in some butter and rosemary.
Make your smashburgers on the grill and begin assembling. Don’t forget the cheese. Toast your buns too.
Assembly time. Put some aioli on the top and bottom of the bun. Make a bed of arugula. Put 1-2 smash patties on the bun. Add your bacon jam and sauteed mushrooms and you are ready to devour.
